BURGESS, Justice.

On June 9, 1986, Tammy Lynn McCowan pleaded guilty to the offense of forgery. The trial court found McCowan guilty and sentenced her to four years confinement in the Texas Department of Corrections and fined her $500 but placed her on probation for four years.
