This is a product liability action arising out of a collision between a 1980 Ford Pinto automobile and a horse. Defendant Ford Motor Company (defendant) appeals the judgment in favor of plaintiff. We affirm.

On the evening of March 29, 1982, plaintiff was driving his 1980 Pinto at about 45-50 miles per hour on Highway 224 near Estacada. His wife, Kelly Sue, was in the front passenger seat. A horse suddenly appeared in front of the car, and plaintiff...
