The petitioner, a state prisoner, has filed the present action seeking habeas corpus relief pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2254. The petitioner alleges that he received ineffective assistance of counsel at his state court trial. This matter is presently before the court upon respondents' motion for summary judgment filed March 27, 1986. Rule 56, Fed.R.Civ.Proc.
