This is a petitory action in which we address the application of res judicata principles to actions where one or more parties assert rights of ownership. Plaintiffs Harrisons filed suit for a declaratory judgment, and defendant The Grandison Trust asserted the peremptory exception of res judicata. The trial court sustained the exception and the court of appeal reversed and remanded.
