Mr. Nelson Detillier sustained painful and permanent injuries when the guardrail on a portable scaffold broke causing him to fall 17 feet from it to the floor of the American Cyanamid Chemical plant while working for his employer, International Maintenance Corporation, on May 12, 1982. He brings suit for damages, alleging that his fall was due to the fault of Scafco, Ltd. which leased the scaffold to his employer. He alleges that Scafco was at fault...
