Ray Thibodeaux (defendant) was charged by bill of information with two counts of distribution of marijuana, a controlled dangerous substance. LSA-R.S. 40:966 A. Defendant pled not guilty. Following trial by jury, defendant was acquitted of the first count and convicted of the second count.
