In the early morning hours of August 22, 1981, appellant Christie Mengel was assaulted and robbed in her apartment in an apartment complex owned and operated by appellees. When appellant asked the assailant how he had obtained access to her apartment he told her that she had left her keys in the door. He later gave her those keys, which also included her car keys and forced her to go with him to her car...
