Michael Bond was convicted by a jury of misconduct involving a controlled substance in the second degree, a class A felony. AS 11.71.020. A defendant convicted of a class A felony is subject to a maximum sentence of twenty years. The presumptive sentence for a first felony offender is five years. AS 12.55.125(c).
