This is an appeal in an expropriation suit. The Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) appeals the trial court judgment which awarded Burley Sonnier and his wife, defendant-landowners, the sum of $170,198.50, subject to a credit of $84,706.00 which had been deposited by DOTD at the time of the filing of the suit for expropriation.
