Paul Clifton's (plaintiff) home in Abita Springs was partially destroyed on September 17, 1982, by a fire which was indisputably of incendiary origin. His homeowner's insurer, Louisiana Farm Bureau Casualty Insurance Company (Farm Bureau), paid off the balance due on plaintiff's mortgage to Eileen P. Santana (Santana) but denied further payment under the policy because it contended the fire was set at plaintiff...
