Appellant Mitchell Feed & Seed, Inc., brought this action to recover on an alleged promise by respondent Harold ("Bud") Mitchell to pay his son's feed bills. The trial court ordered judgment for respondent, finding specifically that he had not promised to pay his son's feed bills and concluding that even if he had, any action on that promise would be barred by the statute of frauds.
