OPINION

WALTERS, Justice.

Defendant John Hovey was sixteen years old at the time his parents were shot and killed in their home on June 19, 1984. The father died immediately, but defendant's mother lived for several hours after the shooting. When police and medical teams arrived on the scene, she told them her son had shot her. Defendant presented an alibi defense, and his sister Karen testified she saw a dark shadowy...
