Appellant, a 22 year old Hispanic male, was arrested for the rape and robbery of 79 year old A.O. He was charged with one count of aggravated robbery, Minn.Stat. § 609.245 (1984); one count of first degree assault, Minn.Stat. § 609.221 (1984); and one count of first degree criminal sexual conduct, Minn.Stat. § 609.342, subd. 1(e)(i) (Supp.1985).
