Joseph Foster was indicted by the Livingston Parish Grand Jury for simple burglary of a pharmacy, in violation of La.R.S. 14:62.1. He entered a dual plea of not guilty and not guilty by reason of insanity. A jury convicted him as charged; and he was subsequently sentenced to serve nine years at hard labor, without benefit of probation, parole, or suspension of sentence.
