We here must construe cross-referenced provisions in Iowa Code chapter 322 (entitled "Motor Vehicle Manufacturers, Distributors and Dealers") and Iowa Code chapter 537 (the Iowa Consumer Credit Code). (All statutory references are to the 1979 edition of the Iowa Code.) The parties disagree on the extent to which those statutes govern a three-party transaction in which Kenworth Mid-Iowa (Kenworth), a Des Moines truck dealer, sold two truck-tractors...
