Presently before the court is Plaintiffs' Legal Committee's petition for an award of attorney fees and costs. For the reasons stated herein, the petition will be granted.

Plaintiffs' Legal Committee ("the PLC"), appointed by this court in court Order No. 8, filed August 13, 1981, seeks an award of attorney fees of 7% of the gross recovery of "global settlement" funds and for costs for services rendered...
