This suit arose as the result of an altercation which took place on November 11, 1982, at about midnight, in the parking lot of the Grant Street Dancehall, a local nightspot in Lafayette, Louisiana. The plaintiff Marc T. Barras, brought this action to recover damages for the injuries he allegedly sustained during the fight. Named as defendants were David Lynn Benoit and Larry Jude Benoit, the brothers who allegedly assaulted and battered the plaintiff...
