ARMSTRONG, Judge.

Earl Mouton was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, a violation of LSA-R.S. 40:966. At his arraignment on March 8, 1985, the defendant pled not guilty. The defendant filed a motion to suppress the evidence which was denied on July 29, 1985. That same day a bench trial was held, and the defendant was found guilty as charged. On August 23, 1985 the trial court sentenced the defendant to serve the maximum sentence of 10 years...
