Following a jury trial, defendant, Abraham Hopkins, was found guilty of murder (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1985, ch. 38, par. 9-1) and was sentenced to 35 years' imprisonment.

On appeal, defendant contends that: (1) he was not proved guilty of murder beyond a reasonable doubt; (2) the trial court erred in refusing to question each prospective juror during the voir dire about the effect...
