A federal jury found Reginald Holzer, a former Cook County circuit judge (that is, a trial judge in Cook County's court of general jurisdiction), guilty of mail fraud, 18 U.S.C. § 1341, extortion, 18 U.S.C. § 1951 (the Hobbs Act), and violation of the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, 18 U.S.C. § 1962.
