The defendant, E.W. Freeman, was indicted on a three-count indictment, charging E.W. Freeman and co-defendant McCamey with one count of conspiracy in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 371, and two counts of offering an illegal gratuity to a federal employee in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 203(b).
