SNELL, Judge.

On August 8, 1985, the appellant, Loren Ripperger, was charged by trial information with committing lascivious acts with a child. See Iowa Code § 709.8 (1985). Trial commenced on January 6, 1986. Prior to trial, Ripperger filed a motion in limine seeking to exclude certain medical testimony.
