This appeal stems from a dispute over a real estate broker's commission. Defendants are the former owners of a piece of commercial property known as the Soule building. Plaintiff, a real estate broker, claims that he made an oral agreement with defendants that would entitle him to a stipulated commission if he found a buyer for the property.
