After a collision between two vessels in Galveston Bay, one of the ships steamed out of control, threatening to strike nearby oil rigs and platforms. Three tugboats guided the vessel into an open area, where, with the assistance of a fourth tug, they saved the errant vessel. Only the salvor who directed the operation filed a salvage-award claim.
