The appellants, Thomas E. Register, and wife Evelyn M. Register, seek reversal of a deficiency judgment in favor of the appellee, Ford Motor Credit Company, holding the Registers liable as guarantors of a promissory note. The principal questions on appeal relate to the applicability of the federal Ship Mortgage Act of 1920, 46 U.S. C. sec. 911 et seq. (1975).
