Verna Jeter Gaspard died intestate on June 3, 1985. She was survived by her husband, Irvin J. Gaspard, and two daughters, Kathryn Gaspard Rine, born of the marriage to Gaspard, and Linda Jeter Hogue, born before that marriage.
