Plaintiff, Danny Gene Hefner, brought this suit seeking to recover damages for injuries allegedly suffered when a car driven by him was rear-ended by an eighteen wheel tractor trailer. Plaintiff brought suit against the driver of the eighteen wheeler, Michael Bixler, the owner of the truck, B.J. McAdams, Inc. (McAdams), and McAdams' insurer, Lloyds of London (Lloyds).
