The defendant, Carlo A. Nelson, Jr., was charged by information with the offenses of indecent liberties with a child, deviate sexual assault, and rape. (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1983, ch. 38, pars. 11-4(a)(1), 11-3(a), 11-1(a).) He was found guilty on all three counts and sentenced to concurrent six-year terms in the Department of Corrections for the offenses of deviate sexual assault and rape...
