Defendant-appellant Charles Townsend was convicted on three counts of mail fraud in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 1341 and on seven counts of altering odometers in violation of 15 U.S.C. § 1984. Defendant was sentenced to concurrent three-year terms of imprisonment on the three counts which charged mail fraud and was fined $10,000.00 on each of the seven counts which charged odometer alteration.
