This action arose when Harry A. Ebeling's pickup truck struck the rear of a six-passenger automobile in which the plaintiff, Mary F. Tice, was a passenger. Tice alleged that the driver of the pickup truck, Ebeling, was negligent, and that General Motors Corporation (GM), the manufacturer of the Tice vehicle, was also negligent for failing to provide a head restraint for the front center seat of the six...
