The City of Houston (the City) appeals the trial court's judgment in favor of Helene Bernardine Wolfe Hewett (Ms. Hewett) in an eminent domain proceeding. In four points of error, the City challenges the trial court's judgment because (1) it requires the compounding of prejudgment interest and (2) it orders the City to pay the judgment award to Ms. Hewett directly, when the City has already paid an amount substantially equivalent...
