A hearing was held for the purpose of determining who was entitled to the proceeds of a settlement in a case entitled Page v. Hibbard. The settlement was for the amount of $24,000. The circuit court found that the Illinois Department of Law Enforcement (Department) was entitled to $12,000 of this amount plus accrued interest due to their statutory right of subrogation...
