In this appeal from his conviction of murder, Hawaii Revised Statutes (HRS) § 707-701 (1976), and criminal property damage in the second degree, HRS § 708-821(1)(b) (1976), Defendant Albert Tyquiengco (Defendant) asserts that the trial court erred (1) in refusing his requested instruction on the State's burden of proof on his manslaughter defense, and (2) imposing an extended ten-year term of imprisonment for his criminal property damage conviction...
