Alphonse Castaldi (Petitioner) appeals from the District Court's denial of his petition for a writ of habeas corpus under 28 U.S.C. § 2255. Petitioner contends that (1) the separate and consecutive terms of imprisonment imposed by the District Court exceeded the maximum allowed by law since he committed only a single offense, and (2) even if the sentence does not exceed the maximum allowed by law, the District Court abused its discretion...
