Dupaquier (plaintiff) brought suit for worker's compensation benefits against Sam Barbera (Barbera) d/b/a Barbera Motors.1 On December 23, 1982, plaintiff received a very severe head injury when he was involved in a one-car accident in Terrebonne Parish while returning to Barbera's automotive dealership in Morgan City where he was employed as sales manager.
