An action instituted by John J. Fox, an attorney, against Alfred G. Boucher, a layman, was dismissed on June 11, 1985 by an order in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York (Sweet, J.) and Fed.R.Civ.P. 11 sanctions in the amount of $4,000 were assessed against the plaintiff. The district court judge described this lawyer's cause of action as "frivolous and brought in bad faith merely to harass the defendant...
