In March 1981 the defendant, Prudential Insurance Company, discharged the plaintiff, Raymond Olin, a Prudential executive. Olin sued Prudential, claiming "breach of contract" and unlawful `sex discrimination.' Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 42 U.S.C. § 2000e-2(a); Massachusetts Fair Employment Act, Mass.Gen.Laws Ann. ch. 151B.
