William Oliver was charged by bill of information with possession of marijuana in excess of one hundred pounds, a violation of LSA-R.S. 40:966 E(1). He pled not guilty and, after trial by jury, was found guilty as charged. He was sentenced to six years at hard labor (the first five years to be served without benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence) and a fine of $25,000.00. On appeal defendant alleges four assignments of error...
