This appeal originates from a claim for underinsured motorist benefits by respondents Richard and Viola Koranda for injuries they sustained in a December 27, 1983 rear-end collision with an automobile driven by Frederick Manfred. Appellant Austin Mutual Insurance Company is the Korandas' underinsurance carrier.
