OPINION

NIX, Chief Justice.

This is an automatic direct appeal1 from a death sentence imposed upon appellant by the Court of Common Pleas of Huntingdon County following his conviction of first degree murder. Appellant also appeals his related convictions for robbery, burglary and escape. For the reasons that follow, we affirm those convictions and the judgments of sentence thereon.
