HOLOHAN, Chief Justice

The superior court ordered the indictment against defendant James Robert Burrus dismissed with prejudice because the speedy trial provision of the Interstate Agreement on Detainers Act ("IAD"), A.R.S. § 31-481, had been violated. The Court of Appeals reversed the order of dismissal. State v. Burrus, 151 Ariz. 572, 729 P.2d 926
