Appellants Michael Ashing and Brenda Taulbee were charged with first degree murder of Iris Taulbee, Brenda's mother, who was shot and killed on August 23, 1984. A motion was made to transfer the cause to juvenile court on the grounds that Michael Ashing was sixteen and Brenda Taulbee was fourteen the date of the murder.
