Defendant appeals as of right from a jury verdict awarding $550,000 in damages to plaintiff for injuries incurred by plaintiff's deceased husband from a fall in a restaurant. Defendant was found liable as manufacturer of the quarry tile used on the floor of the restaurant, which plaintiff claimed was unsuitable for such use because of its slippery propensity when wet.

The incident in question occurred in a Halo Burger restaurant in Mt. Morris...
