Cindy Powers and Deborah Knutson, defendants in the respective cases before us, appeal separate judgments rendered by the Northeast Central Judicial District in Grand Forks after they had removed their actions from small claims court pursuant to § 27-08.1-04, N.D.C.C. We affirm the judgment in Raaum v. Powers, No. 11,181 (N.D.Sup.Ct. filed on February 26, 1986) (Powers) and reverse and remand the decision in Byars v. Knutson...
