The defendant, Aida Serna Barreto, was convicted after a bench trial before The Honorable Stanley J. Roszkowski on September 5, 1983, and sentenced to five years incarceration. Her conviction was affirmed by the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals and the mandate issued on May 30, 1985.
