The defendant, Louis Gaston, was arrested on July 23, 1979, and charged in a three count information with committing the crimes of robbery and larceny. Count one alleged that the defendant had committed robbery in the first degree in violation of General Statutes § 53a-134 (a) (4), count two, that he had committed larceny in the second degree, in violation of General Statutes (Rev. to 1979) § 53a-123 (a) (1), by the theft of an automobile...
