By this appeal, we are asked to reconcile inconsistent verdicts rendered by judge and jury in a bifurcated trial of a suit for damages.

Curley Rogers filed suit against the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury, Kenneth Thibodaux and Continental Casualty Co., insurer of Calcasieu parish, for injuries sustained when his dog bit him.
