On his appeal from guilty verdicts on indictments charging him with armed robbery while masked (G.L.c. 265, § 17) and unlawfully carrying a firearm (G.L.c. 269, § 10[a], the defendant argues: (1) that the victim's out-of-court identifications were impermissibly suggestive; and (2) that he should have been allowed to ask the victim to point him out from among the courtroom spectators even though he (the defendant) was not in the courtroom...
