This case illustrates a form of release under the Maryland Uniform Contribution Among Joint Tort-Feasors Act (the Act) which, in combination with the way in which the facts ultimately developed here, permits the releasor to retain the amount paid by the settling defendants together with the amount of the judgment against the nonsettling defendant.1
