On May 28, 1980, the defendant Juan Corchado was convicted after a jury trial of the crime of manslaughter in the first degree in violation of General Statutes § 53a-55 (a) (1), which arose out of a shooting in Bridgeport in 1979. A sentence of not less than five years nor more than ten years was imposed. On February 25, 1981, he appealed his conviction. On December 14, 1982, this court reversed his conviction because of error in the jury...
